To entwine our 'Local Landscapes and Legends' , Jim Russell's work the 'The Sea Hag' in Ards and our locality it was decided to hold a beach clean at Greencastle on Monday 3rd June, 2013. This was carried out in conjunction with Mourne Heritage Trust and some volunteers from Mourne Stimulus. Again we were grateful for the help of many parent volunteers. Some equipment was provided by NMDC, including litter pickers, hi-vis vests, plastic bags and gloves. It was a very successful event as we collected much rubbish and encouraged the children to consider its impact on the local environment.
