Primary 1, 2 and 3 were delighted when local author Declan Carville visited them today. Declan was in school to work with P4, 5 and 6 but he took time to have a very special story time with the younger children too.
Declan read his book ‘The Fairy Glen’ and showed the children the original illustrations from ‘A winter night in the Fairy Glen’. The children were very excited to hear Declan’s stories of fairy life in Rostrevor. They were also eager to tell him about our own fairies at Grange and to show him the Christmas tree which has appeared at the fairy’s front door.
It was a very special story time and we hope to welcome Declan back to school again in the future.
