Primary One were very lucky to be invited to the Armagh Rhymers show in school on Tuesday morning.
The Rhymers were in Grange, for the second time in as many months, to share an Irish legend with Primary 5/6 as part of their Shared Education work. The visit was funded by their CASE PEACE IV partnership project, with the Rhymers visiting the other two schools in the partnership on Monday and Wednesday.
Primary One were in the playground when the Rhymers arrived on Tuesday and recognised them immediately, giving them a warm welcome back to Grange. Since the children had been such enthusiastic participants in the show on Green Day, the Rhymers invited them to come along and join in again. There was a great big cheer when Primary One heard the news! 😊
The visit included a dance around the Maypole after the show and an impromptu sing-along in the playground. The visitors were very impressed with Primary One’s ability to follow instructions, learn a dance and keep a steady beat.
It was another fantastic morning with an extra-curricular experience that the children will remember for along time ☺️
