We had a very informative day in school yesterday when Anne, from Action Cancer visited us to tell us all about being healthy. Anne worked with each class explaining the ‘Eatwell’ plate. The children discussed all the things we can eat and do that allow us to live a healthy lifestyle. Anne also discussed the sugar count within some of our ‘treat’ foods including fizzy drinks, sweets and chocolate. Something also talked about by Fitness Freddy a few weeks ago. Lots of important information and facts for everyone involved – ask the children about a few of them, Jelly Babies in particular! Another step towards our promotion of ‘Healthy Living’.
