An Duin Abu 🔴⚫️

Today our school was awash with red and black as we had the pleasure of welcoming past pupil Martin Clarke.

Martin spoke about the importance of practicing and developing skills in sport to play at the top level. He fondly recalled his days playing in the school playground at Grange, playing with St. Louis, his time with Collingwood in Australia and with Down Minors and Seniors.

Martin emphasized the importance of participation and the pride in playing for your school or county. The children asked thoughtful questions, which Martin took the time to answer. They were fortunate to have Martin join them for the end of their coaching session with Down GAA coach, Mark Poland. 

It was a fantastic morning at school and we were delighted to welcome back this illustrious past pupil. 🔴⚫️ 🟤🟡

We were also honoured to have an array of silverware on display, including the Tailteann Cup which Down won in 2024.  Thank you to Fionn’s daddy for enabling us to have them in Grange today.

We extend our best wishes to Martin and the Down team for their upcoming match with Westmeath in Pairc Esler this weekend.  An Duin Abu!
