Annual beach clean
We held our annual beach clean at Greencastle today. The beach clean is an important part of our eco work in school each year. We are grateful for the help of many parents and grandparents with this event. It would not be possible to take all of our children to the beach without your assistance. Thanks also to Mr Patrick McShane of NMDDC for the loan of litter pickers and gloves and to Mourne Heritage Trust who took away the rubbish. Thank you to Mrs Morgan and the Eco team who added a new dimension to our beach clean by decorating some pebbles with vital eco messages and leaving them on the beach for people to find. Some children and parents/grandparents have taken these pebbles home to leave them on a different beach, thereby spreading the eco messages which began in Grange. One of the pebbles is even making its way to Holland!
