Autumn sorting
26th Oct 2017
When they returned to school after their walk, Primary 1 decided to sort all of the autumn treasure they had found.
They set to work emptying the bags of treasure which they had collected with their partners and began to use their mathematical skills, looking at the shapes and sizes and putting items which were the same into sets.
They had different shapes of leaves - oak, sycamore and horse-chestnut, conkers, acorns and a collection of other berries and seeds.
The children admired their collections and look forward to using them after the Halloween break to create lovely pieces of art.
