Bird Watch in Primary One
Primary One had a great time collecting data for the Big Schools’ Birdwatch.
It was a perfect morning to be learning outdoors!
The children had been learning to identify birds in our school grounds and helped to attract them by putting our food and water each day.
Armed with clipboards, pencils and even some binoculars, they went outside to count the number of each species of bird.
As you will see from the pictures, the girls and boys were engrossed in their work.
They returned to the classroom and created a pictogram of what they had observed.
The data will be added to that collected by the other classes in our school and uploaded to the RSPB’s Big Schools’ Birdwatch data for 2018.
