Maths for Primary 7 children
Mrs Cahill, Head of Mathematics at St Louis Grammar School, has contact use to invite our Primary 7 pupils to make use of Numerise - www.numerise.com a free online support programme to improve maths skills. "There is a free trial available until September aimed at students moving from primary to secondary school. The course is called 'Secondary Ready' and gives students the opportunity to consolidate the maths skills required for moving into Key Stage 3. It adapts to the students level so they gain confidence while practising Maths. It has been developed over the past 9 years by Colin Hegarty, a Maths specialist. Please note that it is based on the UK system so references Year 6 rather than Primary 7. Parents sign up for a parental account and create an account for each child. They can then monitor progress as their child completes the course. There are many online platforms available to support students learning but I particularly like that this is specifically aimed at the Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3 transition." Thank you to Mrs Cahill for getting in touch. We urge our Primary 7 pupils and their parents to access this fantastic resource.
