We were surrounded by famous characters today in school as the children and staff celebrated World Book Day.
From Cinderella to the Tin Man and Prince Charming to Paddington - they were all represented by the children and their wonderful costumes.
The children were all rewarded with a special World Book Day publication which was provided by Waterstones, in liaison with Mrs Thompson.
When asked why we celebrate World Book Day, one child summed it all up nicely by saying ‘To appreciate books more’.
We hope that the children enjoyed thinking and talking about stories/characters in school today and that they will continue to love reading in the years ahead.
