We were delighted to receive an invitation to attend Just2easy’s digital leaders day in St Mark’s, Warrenpoint.
The theme of the event was ‘Safer Internet’ ahead of ‘Safer Internet Day’ on Tuesday 6th February.
The children in attendance learned about the importance of using secure passwords and identified strong and weak passwords. They heard from a local teenager whose family post on Tik Tok, learning about the importance of parents monitoring their child’s online activity and having full access to their child’s devices. They also heard from the PSNI who encouraged them to consider how they stay safe in the park in comparison to staying safe online.
In between these experiences, the children used the J2e platform to create images and posters depicting important online safety messages. They shared their knowledge and skills with staff from the Education Authority and C2K (our school network provider).
It was a morning well spent and we are truly honoured to have been asked to participate. Thank you to the Just2easy team and St Mark’s for providing this experience and for their wonderful hospitality.
