Fossil Forage at Cranfield Beach
12th Jun 2019
The children in P5&6 had a great afternoon at Cranfield today looking for fossils.
Our fossil forage focussed on the amazing geology and landscape of our area. The children were given the opportunity to find out about the geology and the fossils found here and how they are formed.
We found granite, limestone, flint and quartz! We also found animal fossils from before the Ice Age in Ireland!
Oisin and Mrs Digney also found some decorated stones that they will rehide on different beaches.
