Grange Eco message travels far!
During the month of June, our Eco team painted environmental messages onto stones, under the guidance of Mrs Morgan. They hid the stones on the beach at Greencastle on the morning of our beach clean.
Lots of children found the stones during the beach clean, with some re-hiding them at Greencastle and others taking them home to bring to beaches in other parts of Ireland on their summer holidays.
We were delighted to receive photos during the summer break of one stone which travelled all the way to IJmuiden, a port city in Northern Holland!
Thank you to Danny McManus’s Granda Paul for taking the stone with him on his travels and for sending us these fantastic photos!
The stone has a picture of an Eco school green flag with ‘Eco School’ underneath and ‘Grange PS’ written in our school colours.
We’re proud to say that, with the help of Danny’s family, Grange has gone global!
