Green Day celebrations
We celebrated St Patrick’s Day in style today with a concert and ceili in school.
There was no shortage of talent on display with many children taking up the invitation to dance and play music as part of our ‘Green Day’ celebrations.
Many of our talented tin whistlers brought their whistles to school and shared their beautiful music with us. There were lots of Irish dancers dancing reels and a jig, we had Aoife’s marvellous rendition of The Cranberries ‘Dreams’, followed by Emily and Louisa’s wonderful playing of ‘Hail Glorious St Patrick’.
In the afternoon everyone danced The Waves of Tory.
It was a great celebration of Irish music and dancing. Thank you to our staff and pupils for dressing in green and making it such an enjoyable occasion.
Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone ☘️
