Making Butter
The boys and girls in primary 3 and 4 learnt how to make butter today.
When they were learning about evacuees in their World Around Topic ‘Life in the Recent Past' they found out that life was very different for the boys and girls in the countryside.
Many of the children helped with the various farm chores. In the morning they had to milk the cows and collect the hen’s eggs.
Once the milk settled, the cream on top was used to make butter.
We were able to use our whisk today to speed the process along. Unfortunately it took a lot longer using the churn.
We had fun doing this today. There was no butter way to spend the morning!😊 🧈
