Primary One began to prepare for the RSPB’s Big Schools Bird Watch by feeding the birds.
They put out a fat ball, an apple and a dish of water.
Shortly afterwards, everyone was very excited to see both a blue tit and a robin feeding on the food that had been left for them. The children watched very quietly at the window as the birds feasted on the fat ball and apple.
In a few weeks, after learning about and observing different garden birds, we will carry out our own Big Bird Watch.
