Safer Internet Day 2024
Primary 6/7 celebrated Safer Internet Day 2024 on Tuesday 6th February.
They watched their classmates Darragh, Eóin and Louisa who participated in a recording for the UK Safer Internet Centre, sharing their thoughts on what would make the Internet safer and giving tips on how to stay safe online. This recording, involving three other schools from NI, was broadcast from the BT Tower in London on the afternoon of Safer Internet Day. The children’s classmates were justifiably proud to see their friends on screen and their school listed in the acknowledgments.
Next, Holly and Louisa presented a Safer Internet assembly to the school sharing important messages about keeping safe online and who to ask for help.
Finally, the children used the Just 2 Easy platform to create posters for Safer Internet Day, sharing their knowledge and utilising their fantastic ICT skills.
Well done to everyone in Primary 6/7!
