We were delighted to welcome Specsavers from Newry to our school, where they conducted an informative workshop for our Primary 4-7 students. As part of their ongoing campaign to promote children's eyecare, Specsavers highlighted the growing concern of myopia (short-sightedness) among young people.
The workshop focused on three main topics:
- A healthy diet, namely green leafy veg and fish
- Maximum screen time for near devices of 45mins - 1hr max
- Regular eye exams annually
We encourage parents to continue promoting these important practices at home to ensure the best eye health for our children.
